Sampson named USABA National Powerlifting Coordinator
(Colorado Springs, Colo) – The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Sampson as USABA National Powerlifting Coordinator. Sampson’s role will include identifying and developing Powerlifting athletes who are blind and visually impaired as well as assisting them in furthering their athletic goals.
With more than 30 years of experience in the sport, Sampson is a decorated powerlifter as well as coach. He has won more than 100 awards and championships which include 6-time and reigning Colorado State Champion, 2-time U.S. Army Europe Champion, and 2005 State Games of America Champion. As a coach, his high school team has won 6 consecutive state championships, as well as winning the teenage high school nationals in 2005.
